libitext-java-gcj software package provides Java Library to create and manipulate PDF on the fly, you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libitext-java-gcj
libitext-java-gcj is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libitext-java-gcj package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libitext-java-gcj *
You will get with libitext-java-gcj package name, version, architecture and description in a table
